Monochrome technology is still highly desired in the industrial world, not least because of its low power consumption, small footprint and low cost. An artfully designed user interface hosted on a monochrome display can be clear, simple, easy to understand and respond quickly to the user’s demands.
Traditional technologies such as STN and its derivatives have seen some advances and can prove an excellent choice, particularly in the industrial and medical sectors. For a sharper alternative, Vertical Alignment (VA) displays high contrast and a deep black background, and can be used with a backlight of almost any colour. A more recent alternative is the Passive-Matrix OLED (PMOLED). Backlight-free, and extremely thin, these are compact, neat and flexible making them ideal for applications control panels for small home appliances.
Highly reliable and versatile Monochrome LCD displays are continually evolving and offer low cost solutions with completely flexible designs - ideal for industrial and smart metering applications.
Our Monochrome OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) Modules are self-emissive displays which require no backlight and therefore produce high contrast images. Our range includes PMOLED (Passive Matrix) and circular displays.
Negative mode Vertical Alignment (VA) monochrome LCD displays with their true black background give sharp contrast to crisp, cool-white icons and segment or alphanumeric characters that tell users exactly what they need to know.
Vertical Alignment displays are custom built but with our experience in designing user interfaces featuring the latest and best display technologies, we can help you get the appearance and the optics just right.
