Although at Anders we do business globally, we pride ourselves on our local approach, people, and culture. This stretches to the our local communities and organisations that make a difference to everyday lives.
We are proud to support a local project in Giovinazzo, where our Italian office is located, who provide a ‘social taxi' for people with mobility issues to enable them to live as normal a life as possible.
The newly delivered vehicle will transport disadvantaged members of the local area, to work, social activities, medical appointments and leisure facilities, or wherever they need to go. The service is run by volunteers and is free of charge to its users.
The vehicle, commissioned from PMG Italy as part of their guaranteed mobility project is sponsored by 10 local companies, including Anders. It was recently handed over to the Municipality of Giovinazzo in a ceremony attended by the mayor, the supporting companies and leaders of local charity Angels of Life.
Tony Allridge and myself, Rosaria Mastandrea, from our local office attended the event to represent Anders in support of this worthwhile cause.
"We are thrilled for Anders to be supporting such a valuable asset to local people of Giovinazzo. The Angels of Life 'social taxi' project is very important to our local community and has been running for ten years, offering continued support for people in need even during the pandemic. "
Tony Allridge, Senior Account Manager EU at Anders.
We hope the less mobile of Giovinazzo will get great benefit from this wonderful initiative!
