DVI – Digital Visual Interface

An interface used to transmit digital video content onto a display.

DVI interfaces are found in computer monitors, laptops, projectors and some televisions (although HDMI is the more common interface for TVs as DVI has limited audio signal transmission).

The DVI connector comes in various interations:

  • DVI-A (analogue)
  • DVI-D (digital)
  • DVI-I (both analogue and digital)
