About the role
The role:
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving business growth by identifying and securing new customer opportunities in the embedded systems and electronics sectors. As a self-motivated professional passionate about technical sales, you’ll leverage your expertise to build relationships, drive growth, and achieve ambitious sales targets on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify New Opportunities: Identify and pursue potential new customers and new business opportunities through diverse channels.
- Lead Generation: Develop strategies to generate leads and convert prospects into long-term customers, building a robust sales pipeline.
- Outreach and Engagement: Engage new clients through targeted online outreach, calls, emails, and in-person presentations, introducing them to our portfolio.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of new prospects, ensuring consistent follow-up from initial contact through contract negotiations to final closure.
- Customer Needs Analysis: Understand customer-specific needs, advising on system design, integration, and overall project feasibility to offer tailored solutions.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to accurately capture requirements
- Lead negotiations with clients and stakeholders to secure profitable contracts.
- Cross functional collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Engineering, and Product teams to refine acquisition strategies and align proposals with customer needs and company goals.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Track, report and optimise performance against new customer acquisition targets and sales goals.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor closely market trends, competitors, and industry developments to leverage new market opportunities.
About You:
- Experience: Proven track record in B2B business development, sales, or customer acquisition within the embedded systems, electronics, or technology sectors.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of embedded systems, including hardware and software solutions, with the ability to convey technical details to clients effectively.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of engaging with C-level executives and technical teams.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on identifying and capitalising on new opportunities.
- Results-Driven: A proactive mindset focused on meeting and exceeding targets.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks effectively, and maintain a consistent follow-up routine.
- Digital Proficiency: Comfortable with digital tools for lead management and tracking.
- Customer-Centric: A passion for understanding and meeting customer needs through exceptional service delivery.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, open to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for client meetings, presentations, and industry events as required.
