When you walk into any buying department, you can almost taste the energy in the atmosphere. Anders buying department is no different.

Within Anders our buyers play such a pivotal role. They are responsible to source and secure the parts we require to build our customers products. Without those parts, the build doesn’t happen, and our customers will be disappointed. We don’t have disappointed customers in Anders.

Thierry is a lively character in the office and has all the (bad) jokes on the tip of his tongue but he is also a ‘people person’, building supply chain relations with the Original Component Manufacturers to ensure we have a continuous supply of the parts we need for our build, some of which are unique, or hard to source.

For the more common parts Thierry has visibility on where customers can take advantage and leverage off our economies of scale model.

Being aware of the market dynamics is also important for our buyers, as they need to understand supply and demand forces, obsolescence, lead-times and cancellations.

It’s a full-on role, it can be crazy, but it’s fast paced and fun.
