Touchscreens have been around for a long time but they’ve only been popular in business and industrial settings – such as food service, airport kiosks and industrial keypads. The use of touchscreen by the consumer has only recently become admired due to the development of operating systems. This has allowed for the transition of ‘touch’ to move into the consumer market as it enables touch-friendly user interfaces.
