In our 23rd February post on OMAP and the next generation user experience we said we were looking forward to further OMAP updates at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Well it seems we weren’t to be disappointed as Texas Instruments held live demonstrations of its OMAP 5 technology last week at the Barcelona event.

As user interface technology experts we remain very excited about the ongoing development of the OMAP™ processor family from Texas Instruments. These scalable, low-power multi-core ARM® Cortex™ devices are already proving themselves in a variety of mobile consumer applications, but we think they’ve got lots to offer the non-consumer world too – not least when it comes to optimising the user experience in next-generation designs.
